Welcome to my channel where I document my AW11 MR2 build! My hope is that these videos will not only show my own progress, but also educate and encourage others working on their builds. I also enjoy clothing and music.

Keep up the good work, I appreciate that your taking some time to repair and restore your AW11. I got an SW20 about a year ago and have been slowly working to repair and restore it, so it's interesting to see how others approach their project cars.
Thank you! The more MR2s on the road the better!
to make your life easier next time just remove the battery and air intake. it will buy you a "ton" of space. also look into evaporust to remove rust. it comes in a gel and a liquid. It removes rust with out removing material like a brush and vinegar does
Thanks! I actually have it off atm to switch out the fuel filter!
cool vid and background music.
If anyone is interested in saving one of these there is a pretty clean black one at the tow yard located off Meadows and Sam Bass rd in Round Rock TX 78681. They’ve had it impounded for years and I wonder if they’d be willing to sell it. I think it even runs as they’ve occasionally parked it out on the road in front of the towyard.
@@homedeezyfasheezy5662 snatch it up!
I have this same year and having a lot of trouble finding the issue that suddenly won’t start. I was wondering were exactly is that plug your showing. To see if it’s my case as well. Thanks in advance.
@@blessedstudiohey! To give you some extra info: 1)my starter was replaced prior to me owning the car. 2) the starter WAS getting power but the plug wasn’t letting it work. 3) The symptoms were: turning the key, going into accessory, no crank, but the relay (located in the trunk) was engaging. The plug itself is very far up there, DM me on instagram and i can send you quality pictures. Happy to help!
cool you are taking this on! I have a stock 85 Mk1a AW11 I drive as a daily and it has been incredibly reliable. It has 80k original miles. The only part I have needed so far that I have not been able to get was a speedo cable, but of course/thankfully MR2 Neil Jones was able to ship me one across the pond. Keep doing the work and the videos! I like to learn as many points of view as I can on the AW11. Oh, and pro tip from an idiot: when you are pouring oil, flip the container over - opposite of how you have it.
For that connector I would suggest instead of electrical tape, you should use Tesa automotive tape. It's more appropriate for the application and you can find it easily on certain retail websites.
would love to see you clean that engine bay. would be very satisfying.
Ive been working on that! I’ll definitely be making a video on that
As someone who is currently restoring and 87 na aw11, I would love to see some in depth restoration stuff. I will be watching closely! oh also dont use compressed air on the rear brake calipers. They are threaded which I did not know until I blew one out, haha.
Yeah!! Loved it Bright! So great! Buuuut, also sorry you had to deal with the car grief lately…
cool project
i love your car

There may be some of that in the future…
Also, editing is great! 😉
Very cool, Mr. 2!! Love the night driving scenes! Some @sunglasseskid music would fit right in with this 😉
